Set amidst the Mendip Hills and Somerset Levels, with views to the dramatic Cheddar Gorge, Ashton Cottages is a perfect base for exploring Somerset and the surrounding area.

Local interests include Wookey Hole Caves, Glastonbury Tor and Abbey ruins, and the City of Wells with the world famous Cathedral and Bishop’s Palace.

Bath and Bristol are both within easy driving distance, as are many other family attractions.

 We are situated just 1 mile from Wedmore village centre and 2 miles from Cheddar. Wedmore is a quaint picturesque village, steeped in history, dating back to King Alfred the Great. The village boasts many small shops offering clothes, shoes, antiques, delicatessens, and tearooms.

Superb walking, riding and cycling can be enjoyed on the Mendip Hills and Somerset Levels, which also offers unique wildlife. The beach at Weston-Super-Mare is a must.
